too many knives in one picture makes the edc pocket inauthentic

and the guns(except the squirt one) just annoyed me.... some kind of amazing toy I can not play with...

Actually I carry 4 of them everyday as well as the gun. So I am glad after 97 large posts that you can determine what everyone else does. If this annoys you, then don't post or look at it. And if you are going to correct people, then I must correct you, this is not about an EDC pocket, it's about the things in the pocket.

This is an honest question and no disrespect intended. Why would you ever need to carry 3 knives at once?

For me, Perfection is a micarta-scaled M390 Para2 and Hi CRI Clicky:

Some days, that is a tiny bit big, or I need to dress up. Then a P-38 and TiD25C will do it:

When I visit my daughter's school, locking folders are out. I'm actually quite enamored with the CV SwayBack Jack and CuAA. They just take two hands and a moment longer to deploy. Both are patina'ing nicely now:

I don't need to. Today I carried my usual assortment of knives: Victorinox Classic on my keyring, Vic. red alox Farmer in my left front pocket, SOG Rescue in my right back pocket ... and a Vic. Ranger in my bag.

This is Bladeforums, not Lacecurtainsforums. What would you expect us to play with?

You are criticizing me for carrying 3 knives and we are on a website for knife enthusiasts? Lol j/k. In usually don't carry 3 large knives like I did today. I just wanted to---didn't need to.

I was told this by someone years ago:

"Always carry three knives. One to use for regular cutting stuff open like boxes, one for fighting, and one that nobody knows about. A secret knife can save your life."


But in all seriousness--- I actually do carry 3 knives a lot. Not usually the 3 I posted today but during the week I carry my spyderco techno or small sebenza lose in pocket for small cutting tasks in front of sheeple. I also carry one if my Umnumzaans because I like having a large folder if needed and I actually have a habit of fondling the Zaan while thinking or on the phone at work. Finally I carry my small fixed blade Esee candiru on a ball chain around my neck under my tshirt undershirt. No one knows about this knife.

A typical 3 knife setup for me during the week along with my olight is3 and gerber dime:

Who cares what people carry everyday. It's interesting to see what different people carry. If you don't like what people carry or don't understand why they carry what they carry then you don't need to say anything. But if you like something or have a question about what something is, by all means comment or ask. Otherwise, don't judge .

Not a criticism, just an observative question. I don't have as many restrictions or fear of offending non knife people with what I carry on a daily basis, so I can get away with carrying a single knife that can do all of my utility tasks. 90% of the time it'll be my startac Umnumzaan.

I've actually got you beat with how many knives I bring along with me. My chef bag has probably 10 or so knives in it, but that doesn't count
