Fire practice this afternoon.
Tools for the day, Roga scandi woodlore knife, noname firepiston and a piece of birchtree

Firepiston loaded with charcloth and a bigger piece of charcloth in my featherstick

Firpiston ignited after a few pumps

transeferring ember to charcloth in the featerstick

Blowing in it to get more heat

And we have a flame

That was fun

Not much action in this topic lately. I haven't made a feather stick or curls for at least two years, nor have a built a fire. I used to practice almost every week until I could consistently make a one stick fire every time. I need to get outside and start shaving some wood again.
