Back in the sheathes.

I am working on improving my photographs.

mtf.... awesome collection there man.... i think i like just about all of them.... especially those mississippi makers...:D i have a gene ingram #30, it's a great woods knife....

Here is all that is left...makes me sad, but I think I kept my best, and added a few quality blades...I am most proud of the Becker, that showed up in the mail today, and the Fehman and Trident. And my favorite woods knives, my Barkies, I have 2 more coming, an Aurora in Bocote thats at BarkRiver right now getting rehandled and a Rivers Edge in 12C27 and sporting a 5" blade. I love the MMHW 5" blade next to the Trident as well. All users here!

The thread killer strikes again...did you guys hold a meeting after I was gone and decide I suck..or what..? I posted 2 times after Ive been back, and no love......well, maybe I'm a baby...I love you guys...come back to me...:D
EDIT: there, I changed my Avatar to be less scary....And I forgot to say, I love these pic threads!

Hmmm.. You have a BMF... yep. you suck :D

Welcome back GKN.

(BMF)Not for long....its in the trade thread...pretty good offer just about a minute ago...nothing solid, but I am a sucker for Barkies.
Thank you for welcoming me back....EDIT MTF3...your collection is staggering, very nice...daddy like!

Thanks man...welcome back to you to...Show us your knives, I heard a rumor you got a new Busse today!
EDIT, put that binocular rig of yours in the pic, they are bad ass! Steiners right?

There it is CDS, the small but mighty collection...not a "cheap" knife in the group, your collection rivals much larger collections in value, I have handled all of them, but seeing them laid out like that, thats a sweet collection. I really want to chop something with that fancy axe, we should pick something to be destroyed and see how it does. Cool man, about time you played, you semi troll....(I'm his friend, I can say this):D

Thanks bro, I wish I had a few of the one's I've let go.

I don't know how well the Firestone would fare in hardcore chopping, it's made from 440C investment cast steel. Maybe we could take it over to Windsor Ave & dismantle some of Bucket's floor joists.:p

You should try Charles May, he makes a heck of a knife. He is from Strong, Mississippi. You can't get there from here, you have to go somewhere's else and start. Charlie is a craftsman and is very exact on his final product.

These are the four I have so far, plus I have a camp knife coming and four more on order. This photo is real bad, look at his web site for better examples. (Blademakers.com)

I cut an half inch thick white oak limb with this little scandi grind (Model: Trace with orange G-10) and cut off branches and sharpened three prongs for a marshmellow roasting stick today. Several cuts even through the thickest part and it would still shave.

I recently picked up this Chute knife made by Jack Jones of Ripley, MS. He does good work.
