Show Your Motorcycles

I really hate to show my cycle like this. Putting in a new tranny seal today.

While I've got it apart, I'm going to replace all the shifting levers, this is a late 79 set up (early 79 still had the rachet top). HD really had a brain fart when they put this assy. into production. I've had this bike going on 25 years, and have replace the shifting clevis at least 5 times :eek: and that's a lot of work. Ya need to dis-assemble to this point to reach it :grumpy:

Well anyway it should be back together today. I'll be leaving for Laconia Bike Week this Friday :D , of course Laconia starts tomorrow, but I don't have enough time at my new job to get the whole week. This year I'll be solo on my cycle, Linda has to work next Saturday
 
BBBBB Beaver, if you get done early???? I got a pot of hot Italian sausage, green peppers , onions and my home made Italian gravy cooking.:D :D
 
You're one to talk about loose screws IG ! Not a bike, but this is my evil twin's new project. The engine works, the body and frame likely need a bit of rebuilding though. A 1976 Triumph TR6. The biggest part of concern is there's one rusted spot on the frame which we're not sure if it can be easily repaired by a good welder, or if he'll have to shell out 2500$ for a whole new frame

Justin!!! At least I have screws that can be loose, but in your case, you are screw less or is it clueless. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!!

I Love Black Bikes. My Indian is black and midnight blue and my HD looks all black till you get up to it. Its have purple panel on the tanks and pin stripping on the fenders. Oil tank, inner primary, dash panel are all purple.:D

I'd post another pic of my cycle, but you'd just see a 1979 Harley Low Rider minus a tranny. I pulled it out the day after I got back from Laconia bike week. I put on just over 500 mile last weekend and put in a quart of oil in the tranny,,,,,this SUCKS.... I should have the tranny back some time next week. It'll take about 8 hours to reassemble, I work slow.
 
Hey TBlade, Good luck Bro. Get her back together soon so you can feel that wind in your face! I'm the only mechanic for Team Tanguay too. Seems like I spend as much time fixing as I do riding. Probably alot more actually!

BTW, the oldest, She's 14! But...She can out ride, out shoot and out fight most boys we know.
The 5 year old is all girly though. What are ya gonna do.

A few more face plants and picking dirt and rocks outa my teeth and I'm going to a street bike myself. I don't bounce back like I used to. Not even close. My last minor digger had me down for three days.

The wife agrees. She did a nice end-o last Sunday on a trail near our camp (somehow it ended up being my fault!). She's got a nice raspberry on her shoulder to remind her of that day. We talk about a couple of customs after the kids are grown. She wants her own though. Says there's no way she's ridin b_tch on my bike.
