Im thinking a workshop is too much like a personal place to have someone else clean it.
" Dammit who moved my half round file. I know it was right under my pile of steel which is right under my electric cables which is in the corner where all my other tools are thrown!"

Or what i meant was that it would be so huge that it would never be messy. :)

Heres my little corner of the garage that my wife lets me have.

She got real mad when I broke off her mirror ($500) trying to back her car out and not hit anything,,,

Come on , kick her and the car out in the snow. She wont mind scraping the windows every now and then. Oh , and after you do that let me know how it works out for you, maybe I'll give it a shot. Paul

Well here goes. Most of my "stuff" is in the 30'x30' basement. I don't have use of all of the space due to the stairs, chiminy for the fire place upstairs, and the oil/wood/coal furnace (the thing is huge). I CLEANED THE SHOP BEFORE TAKING THESE PIC'S..!! :D IT LOOKED LIKE A TRAIN WRECK 2 HOURS AGO. Ok then here is my leather station, sharpening station,tv dvd player, drill presses, wood band saw, assembly station and research/ paperwork area.

Where do you work? I don't see steel dust anywhere!
Seriously though, doesn't the steel dust get in the TV and short it out?

And here is the kmg and disc grinders, metal band saw, anvil, mig welder (stick welder is hidden), welding table, The stainless fire extinguisher on the welding table is a self heating quench tank that I built, vice and mini forge.

this is my 4x36 belt sander, knives in progress(slow progress), spare belts, another view of assembly area and my heat treat area.

this is the smithy that I built out of one of those cover it tent things. I threw the tent material away and screwed cheap galvanized roofing from agway to the sides and top and then I built one wall of wood and shoveled in 2.5 tons of gravel. For some reason my wife thinks that it is "cute" when the dogs crap in the smithy. I'm not as impressed as she is.....Ok here you can see my forge , main anvil, post vise, burning table and torch set up. NOW IT'S YOUR TURN !!!!

Thanks for kicking things off Louis. I just went out to the shop and took pics. The shop is in the midst of being re-organized and whatnot to optimize space, but here's most of my shop. I didnt get picures of my 'assembly and finish' area which is in my living room, I'll get those later sometime.

Here's a view of my shop from the outside, it's half of my 2 car garage, my brothers' TR6 convertable is the other half for now.

The big ammo box is filled with vegetable oil, and the 30 gallon drum is (usualy) filled with water. It sprung a leak and i need to get some gasket material and make myself a patch before i can re-fill it. I used hot glue to temporarily patch the small hole, but it's leaking slowly >_<

I have three propane forges and a coal forge setup.

My main shop anvil is a 150lb peter wright
http://www.tharkis.com/images/shop/150lbpeterwright.jpg

and my 2nd anvil is a nice 4140 cutoff and works great
http://www.tharkis.com/images/shop/4140anvil.jpg

between my 2 venturi forges I've got my tong rack, swage block, and table space for brushes and the like. As well as the (now) smaller of my two post anvils.
http://www.tharkis.com/images/shop/swageandtongs.jpg

Speaking of post anvils I just picked up this beauty last week, and am in the process of carving out a suitable hole in a stump to mount it.

(more pictures of this new addition can be found at http://www.tharkis.com/images/stakeanvil/index.html )

My main shop vise is afixed to my large work bench, and next to my table where my hammers punches cutters and hardies are kept
http://www.tharkis.com/images/shop/viseandhammers.jpg

I've got a more 'portable' vise that i need to replace the spring on which is attached to a tower of 2x4s I had a lot of extra 2x4s this winter and wanted a solid base and place to put more tools (i'm making a rack to hold my various punches and chisles to sit on top of the tower, so if i'm doing animal heads they're all right next to the vise which i can move around)
http://www.tharkis.com/images/shop/2by4towervise.jpg

Lastly my grinders (and 2 more vises i need to mount) are in the corner between the side door I added this summer and the front door, where they get the most air.

Thanks for looking. Once i get everything re-organized and setup properly I'll get better pictures.

This is a picture of my shop. It is a bit different now than in this picture. It is actually messier now...

Part of my shop needs to travel for my day job. Not pictured is the swing-arm and NC forge, handy to just bacl to my garage shop on 'home' says.

Impressive:thumbup:
But this is not a shed, machine-shop or whatnot, it's an INDUSTRIAL AREA:D
Can we see some end-products as well please?

These are some shots my wife took while I was making swept-hilts at my shop in Ithaca
