They are pricey, but it's one of those knives that once it's in hand, the purchase price makes sense. One of my favorites.

Anyone else notice how some people's 0452 has a kershaw ruby pivot? It's like ZT had extras they were using and when they ran out they changed up the design ever so slightly (5 spokes with a ring). Pretty cool.

All the ZT 0452CF have the Kershaw 4040 Ruby pivots. Some of the ones in this thread that don't have it are instead ZT 0450.

it's a super subtle difference. In the pic of Rivals 0452 for example, there is no encompassing ring. Whereas the majority of them have a silver ring around the spokes. The ruby does not have the ring. Side by side pics:

Based on other ZTs I've handled over the years, combined with this high level design coming from a talented maker, I can already see the purchase price makes sense and is totally worth it....even without having held it yet!

So tempted to sell off some of my non-knife goodies and get myself one of these....I'm way too in love with my 2 current folders to even considering letting them go, but I may be able to part with some other items and make it happen...

Wheels turning....lust for my own 0454204p has been activated....

Yup, it's official: the 0454204p ist favorite ZT ever. Just when I thought I was coming to a place of peace with my humble collection, y'all go and post this...I don't know whether to thank or hate you guys for this! LoL ;)

There is a Russia only 454 on EBay. I am looking forward to a 452 variation here in the USA.

I don't think it was a case of having extras and running out, because my 0452cf is number 0013 and has the ringed pivot. So unless they had 12 or less the ringed pivots must have come first. Or it's completely random.
