Showdown: Kabar USMC 7" vs. Becker Combat Utility 7"

Years ago I carried a Kabar and I think, unless a blade failed us, we always maintain a degree of affection for the principal knife that accompanied us into battle. My Kabar did the routine things I needed it to do. That said, were I returning today to look at some more elephants the Becker would unquestionably be my choice.

I own both and although the Ka-Bar is an awesome knife that has a very dedicated fan base, if SHTF I would go with my BK7 in a heartbeat.

I have both and have used both quite extensively.

I'll go for the Becker if I have to choose.
I love my USMC knife, but I "trust" the CU-7 more due to the tang issue.
If KABAR would just radius the tang!!

I only own the Kabar and have had no issues yet with it. That said...guess i'm getting a Becker soon to try out.

I prefer the Kabar. It’s a better cutter and I prefer the overall profile.
