Thanks for the complements, fellas.

That's the second Winchester 94/22M I've owned over the years and from memory my first one had plain timber as well, maybe Winchester had two different grades in the 94/22's.

I grumble and moan about cutting and splitting firewood, but it probably helps keep the old heart pumping.

Could be your new(er) one is an XTR? They usually came with much nicer wood screwed onto 'em!:thumbup:

Nothing wrong with those pics, that is a nice collection and a good day's work. The wonderful thing about firewood is it will warm you twice, once when you process it and again when you burn it.
