Well guys, it's all been covered above, but I still wanted to throw my two cents in the hat. First off, a monster big Thank You to both Dan and Johnny for putting up with us knuckleheads over such a fine weekend. These are some seriously skilled and generous men whose hospitality just made it all come together in a memorable way. It turned out to be about as enjoyable a crowd as I can remember (even though there seemed to be an inordinate amount of name calling there Sat morning!).
Also, realizing it was all in good fun, I wanted to clarify something about my work. I don't think I ever said that I don't use power tools; for now I just have a preference for quality files for finish shaping virtually everything I make. I do use a drill press regularly and can't imagine making a decent knife, etc without one, but again, that's just what suits me. It feels a little ironic that some seemed to genuinely admire the end result, but not the methods used to create it. They are absolutely related in my mind.
Enough of that. Thanks again to Dan, Johnny W and all the fine folks who showed up. As Cousin Charlie said so well above, "...like a fire hose". I am already looking forward to next time.
