Having another Hammer Inn and all invited. It is at my house and I have a nice big shop and overhang where my power hammer, forge and press are and they will all be running. We like newbies, pros, collectors and just folks who enjoy knives. It is a Saturday and Sunday event and we will have some form of BBQ on Sat. with leftovers on Sunday. There will be forging demo's and Damascus making with discussions on construction methods, clips on blades, discussion on mosaic damascus, grinding, can weld Damascus and heat treating. Come one and all and do some hammering.
My address is
4887 Dixie Garden Loop
Shreveport, LA 71105

Here I am doing a demo on setting up the blade in a file guide. This was for a hidden tang knife.

Here I am grinding the knife. Dang I look old..Oh I am.

I'd LOVE to come! I can't commit as Saturday and Sunday are my Thursday and Friday. I'll see if I can get the time off, and hopefully see you soon!

Would love to have you and hope you can make it. There will be some good makers here and lots of forging going on.

Hope I can make the drive. I used to live in Bossier and of course waited to move before I decided I wanted to make knives. I used to get bees from a guy on Dixie Garden.

Robert, I know the bee man. Remember his name is Joe Rosalee. Nice guy. He lives on the same street as I do and has great honey. Hope you make it.

Looking forward to another great one Dan!

Always many fine opportunities among even better company. I appreciate your efforts and the old-school generosity you have shared over the years in order to pull off so many memorable gatherings.

I plan to drive over early Saturday with a box full of hammers, some steel and the just plain spiffy "portaforge" that my good buddies Dan, JoeD, and Stewart cooked up for me last winter.

See you then.

Just added a schedule of events. Other forges will be running so either watch the events or do your on thing.

Hey Dan,
Heard from any others that are coming ? Not many posting like usual ?? Will, Charlie, etc., etc. ? Hope there is a good turn out.

Sounds awesome to me. I'm not an early bird, but might make it by 9:00 on Sat. if nothing changes.

Hope you can make it. Some good folks doing demo's.

^^ Thanks for hosting again Dan. Had a great time catching up with everybody and hammering some steel! Never gets old.

Hated to miss Sunday, but I learned a lot Saturday. Thanks to all for sharing your skills and knowledge. Extra thanks to Dan for his help.

This was one of the best in a while. Had a great turnout with 20-30 people in attendance. Here are a few more photos.
