I've been wanting to get an 18' tipi and was thinking about selling a few knives I don't use too much.

So I picked a few today and took pictures of them thinking I might use them should I decide to sell them.

Well this one came to mind but after I got it out and started handling it I remembered why I love it and probably won't get rid of it:o.

Both side will shave. The handle is cast aluminum poured onto the blade, the blade is a quarter inch thick. You could probably break somebodies skull just slapping them with the damn handle:D

Now it WILL chop but not as good as a khuk and I don't get into many street fights and who takes a knife to a gunfight? Still when you swing this thing around I think you have a a feeling llike Ben Hur or something.

What make[r] is that one? Way back I had a tanto with a cast ali handle. The balance made the point quite whippy. What sucked was the handle was already on the upper limits of what is a comfortable size in my hand, so even putting the smallest amount of wrapping on it to make it a bit nicer to grip pushed it over. Eventually I let it go to someone that would appreciate it without having to take a file to it.

Dang. That is a beefy monster there. Neato. Is the aluminum coated with a rubber??

A buddy of mine has one of the Boker Micarta handled numbered run Smatchets.
They are really neat knives.
He paid a bl**dy fortune for it and as a result it hasn't been used to cut anything but paper.
Too bad they aren't still in production.
Just a thought but i'd love to see Noss have a go at one!
:D

LMAO, that thing looks like a roman short sword that poked a rock too hard and smashed it up into a fat little smatchet :D.
