SHTF?EOTW scenarios

I was talking to a LEO about a BIG attack on the Denver area. He said that they have plans to section off the city and what ever section you are in, you must stay there. They have places to take every one. Like a stadium or what ever. You won't be allowed to go home. Yeah, Martial Law. You ain't gonna like it. Better know the back roads to where you want to go and think about walking at nite even if it means miles out of your way.

And someone said something about '30 days of groceries in the system'. Are you kidding? There's barely 3 days worth in the system. It's called 'just in time' warehousing. Most grocery stores would be out of food in a few hours in a real region wide emergency.

You got that right. Right now I'm in the Seattle area on the Eastern edge of the city. Anything starts up I'm in my Jeep and gone. Back roads, dirt roads, no roads, don't care, gone, that’s where I'll be. And once I get back to Colorado it'll be even easier. I've worked hard to learn how to just vanish so when this happens, what ever it is, I won't be in any camps, containment or refugee.

As for the 30/3 days of food in the system. 3 on a good day. You should see it when it snows here in the Seattle area. They don't see snow much here but when the first flake hits the ground the grocery stores are empty in about an hour. Bread & milk goes first then paltry. It's funny, everybody is freaking, trying to buy food for Armageddon and here I am, beer, pizza and cookies.. :-) Oh yah, and Scotch ;-)

It may not be a bad idea to keep a barrel under your gutters along with
a water purifier at hand just in case. Also I think always keeping at least
two thirds a tank a of gas is a wise precaution. Trying to predict an EOTW
scenario is difficult but what you can do to avoid it yourself is rather easy.
