Fantastic! Thanks for posting these images Jean-Marc, I'm certain I'd have been going home with my pockets turned out, but my arms full! :D Great to see so much interest there, and so much beautiful craftsmanship :)

Pocket emptier for sure! As we say, they don't pack 'em with sausages! 😀😀😀

Very cool!!! I was wondering how the knife laws worked in Paris when I visited in 2019 not that I was packing any, i did pick a few tiny opinel souvenirs but did not see any stores or dealers. Had wondered if Paris or France in general had knife laws as prohibitive as UK. Thanks for sharing!

Yes and no. The law says that you can't wear anything that can be turned into a weapon. There's no specific law about knives.
You are allowed to have a knife if you use it. Since terrorist attacks you are no more allowed to have one in public events, museums, etc (even the smallest SAK). But if you use it in a restaurant (less and less people do that) nobody's gonna rush out, mainly if it is a traditionnal.
If you're caught by the police you may have to explain why you're wearing one. And then it's Murphy's law...
