Sick bed knife

My Covid knife was a Spyderco Manix 2 Knife Joker Exclusive. Everyday I would take a nap in the afternoon and stay up late watching Archie Bunker, The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, X files, Kojak, Rockford Files, Heart to Heart.

Get well soon!

I've had Covid at least twice, and possibly a third last month but I don't get tested.

If you don’t get tested, how do you know you’ve ever had it, even once?🤔

I don’t play with my knives, but I’d imagine an axis lock would take my mind off of being laid up. At least keep a hand busy for a while.

About a month after I thought I had it the first time, I was having my routine blood work done and my endo decided to do the antibody test. This was November 2020. Sure enough I had the antibodies. My whole family got it after Christmas this year. If they tested positive and I had similar symptoms, I figure I had it too.

So you were tested for antibodies. And the other time your family was tested. Gotcha.

I had to do the nasal swab test every two weeks for almost two years at work. It’s not fun. They poke your brain.

Yup, I had to have every time I went to one of my doctors in the city (chicago) and it was a drive. Scrambled my brains. I don't go to those doctors anymore, they retired last year so haven't had to test as the new docs are out here.

I live with my mother currently. Two at home tests she was positive. I see my sister every weekend, and often during the week. Her whole family tested positive too. I came down with it on a Friday, got the monoclonal antibodies, doubled my prednisone, took ivermectin and hydroxychloriquin, by Wednesday I wasn't even sniffing. Lost my dad to pneumonia that Sunday due to lung issues and malpractice. It was a hell of a weekend.

It got my right foot too lol. I never watched the office. I tripped in my office, knocked over an electric radiator, slammed into some shelves and a file drawer, knocked myself unconscious, and landed on the radiator.

When you are stuck in a hospital bed, anything to fidget with is a must. A knife is nice in case the baddies try to kill you in your hospital bed and Batman isn't there to save you.
Man I’m sorry I laughed but damn, you checked all the boxes on that one. Glad you’re healed up.

Haven’t been hospitalized but I actually thought about this a couple weeks ago. I decided I would buy a new Medford and break it in whilst laid up.

I wonder if you could get away with bringing a strop or a smallish stone. Being sick and not working is always a good time to get some sharpening practice in. Hope ya feel better!

Something small with a good snap, that satisfying click when it opens and shut. Small though, not sure I would use a flipper, might cut the IV chord or accidentally hit the call button, so I think a trapper or a Case small drop point (sorry, not a peanut, but I forget the pattern ), that would be better than tapping on the bed pan. I wonder how those band Guys in high school would fair, you know, the ones who always used the drum sticks on their books, always keeping to the rhythm. Hope you are mending well.

Get on Amazon or the-bay and order up a good assisted opening or outright switch blade . . .and wear it out!

Get well!

The Native 5 S90V CF was with me in a hospital for three weeks. OHO, always sharp, small and light. 😍
