So which one are you getting? The Jr. or the full size?

Very, very nice - I like your version of the Lanny's Clip!
Especially the "regular" size. Is it 3-3/4?
Thanks for showing them to us.

The Lanny's Clip pattern was created as a strong, sturdy clip in a compact package -- needle tips are the opposite of strong and sturdy. The belly toward the tip is also quite useful. Still, with the deep clip, the point is plenty fine enough for most purposes.

Love seeing those side by side -- nice touch using properly scaled shields for each size. I think the Lanny's Clip Junior will be popular.

Hmmm I see. I was just refering to how I see Mr. Bose do his but that does make sense.

Well, here's one of Tony's (posted a while back by Vince):

The main thing I'm seeing is that Brent's images don't show the swedges so much (but they are definitely there on Brent's knives). Brent's version does seem to have a bit more belly overall, and Tony's does look just a little bit pointier, but I wouldn't call it a needle tip by any means.

I think it's in the lighting in Brent's photos. The swedges show up much better in the Lanny's clip from this thread:

The swedges are there not quite as deep as I would like. This grind is nerve racking to grind. When I get things where they are symmetrical I stop. Everytime I make a knife and compare it to Tonys I see something I want to do better next time around. I keep telling myself that Tony has been doing this since the seventies and I've only been making fixed blades since 2006 and folders since 2008! :)

As for more belly that's just a preference of mine.

Well, it will be six months give or take before my name comes up on your list, I'm confident it will be pretty close to perfect by then. ;)

The lighting may be better in this thread. Ive got to work on my light box!
