Hello all,
I would like to introduce the SIEGE Belts that I hand craft to the forum. I believe that knife enthusiasts in particular will appreciate these unique belts and the work that goes into them. They can be found at SiegeBelts.com and are currently on sale at a big discount.
My recently departed friend and mentor, serial inventor and master craftsman, Ken Young (see him in this video documentary) first developed the belts many years ago while in the navy (more on that later). He stopped making them some time back to focus on other projects, but I found the belt he gave me a decade ago so remarkably durable and functional that I convinced him to teach me the art. He left me all his materials and equipment, and my estimates are that if I sell all of the belts (after turning all the webbing and a few hundred buckle blanks into finished belts), without paying myself, I may have just enough to re-order the minimum order quantity of the custom webbing and keep the belts going.
Each belt takes me almost two hours to complete. It’s a labor of love but I see a real need for them and want to keep my friend’s legacy alive and continue making these special belts available to all those who could benefit from having them. Take a look and if you like what you see, any word-of-mouth any of you can provide in letting others know about them will be much appreciated!
Thank you,
James
P.S. I also make the SIEGE® STOVE universal Cross-Members — a survival tool that will convert almost any common can into a powerful, stable, lightweight wood-burning camping and survival stove. These can be seen at SiegeStoves.com where they are currently also on sale, along with the super-compact, ultra-versatile, high-performance SIEGE Gen 4 Flat-Pack Stove, both of which have been depended on for over a decade by thousands of users around the world. I am dedicated to making everything here in the USA using materials and designs that ensure that they provide unparalleled performance, versatility and durability, and will serve their owners and descendants for many lifetimes.
