Hi there. I have just purchased my first custom knife a Bill Siegle Green Utility. The looks, the price and the material ( 5160 steel,G10 handles, kydex sheath) all said buy me. The knife is destined as a grad gift for my son who is entering the Canadian Armed Forces after High School. Any opinion on this knife Maker.
Thanks
Ken

I swapped Bill a knife for one of his differentially-hardened large camp knives a year or so ago. It has been great! The edge has not chipped despite my best efforts, and the edge itself has the ability to be really, really sharp without a great deal of effort on my part.

The Kydex sheath it came with is also very utilitarian. Great fit and finish on both the knife and sheath. Nice contouring of the orange micarta handle too.

I don't think you'll be disappointed, and to boot, he's a gentleman to do business with too.

I bartered a website for a couple of his blades, because I had heard of the excellent knives he offered.

From working with him to build his site, to explaining what knives I wanted in trade, to a couple of deals we have done since, I have been very pleased with his integrity and the quality of the knives, it has been a real pleasure.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. I aim to make the best performing knives I can and it is real nice to hear folks are happy with them and actually using them.
