KNIFE IS BAD TO THE BONE----FAST-COMFORTABLE AND CONTROLLABLE

THE "JUNGLE HANDLE" FITS MY HAND EVEN BETTER THAN THE "HOODLUM 2" DOES(AND THAT FITS IT GREAT!!)

I TOLD BILL I NEEDED A KNIFE THAT WOULD MAKE A HUGE WOUND CHANNEL AND BE VERY SECURE BOTH ON INSERTION AS WELL AS WITHDRAWL..

LOOK AT THE PHOTOS--KNIFE IS EXACTLY WHAT I ASKED FOR!!!!!!!!

NOT TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL...

I ALSO ASKED THE MAN THAT RUNS THE OUTFITTING /GUIDE SERVICE IF THIS KNIFE DESIGN WOULD WORK BEFORE I ORDERED IT FROM BILL...

HE TOLD ME IT WOULD BE EXCELLENT!!!!!!!

Ohhhh yeah from about ten years ago. Its been through the ringer twice but its a definite keeper.

*The little one is a TOPS Street Scalpel for size reference*

All the knives should work on the hunt....doesn't require too much...has been done many times with bayonets. But, of course, that's no fun....:D

Making a large wound channel stems more from pushing down after you have thrust in...than from using a taller-bladed knife. Just my humble opinion.

Hello Dan,

I have read your past posts and agree with you.

I have both and will attempt to test which blade sytle is better. We get to kill as many boars as we can until the dogs(or we) get too tired.

I shall keep you posted..

I should mention....I'm terribly jealous!

I can't wait for the next hunt...and seeing this is making me sweat!

Hey Bill, looking forward to the pics of your hunt. I never really considered the Tusker as a hog poker. This is a knife I designed for hog hunting with steel.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Tusker works as a hog knife.

William - yes...same thing: bay dogs find the hog, catch dogs grab it, dude sticks it. Waaaaaay oversimplified...but the right idea. ;)

I saved a write up I did on another forum and put it in a zip file:

I have a Nessmuk styled knife from Scott Gossman. He was very open to my suggestions, let me have some input on the design, and even sent me digital pictures of it in the various stages of it's making. I really like this knife, and can't say enough good things about Scott.

He's a class act all the way.
