This is one of the two finalized versions of my sierra patch hiker design.
3.25 inch blade, 1/8 O1 stock, scandi grind, with black dymondwood scales. my finishing is getting better. (the light hiker is thinner stock and has some filet knife flex. I've been using one as a kitchen knife and general shop knife the past week, pretty nice handling). The design puts the point in with the wrist pretty well, and the sharp clip is pretty strong. The lanyard hole ended up too far back on this one, I want another 1/4 inch of handle material on it.
A bit wedgy for really fine stuff like shaving zucchini, but I can get paper thin slices once I remember the grind shape.
This is the one intended as a veteran donor knife, not sure what's up with that. 2 more in progress!
