It's bearing down on the west coast this weekend. It's going to threaten a lot of folks who forgot to check the forecast or went anyway thinking "it's the weekend and I'll be OK". Those who are paid to get others out of trouble will have a busy time. :eek:Regards, ss.

The winds are so high that there is currently 3 overturned tractor trailers on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and it is closed.

Hurricane winds with snow= a very bad situation indeed, hope some of those folks have been following some of the storm related threads that I have seen here lately.

Yep, I've been watching the rain, knowing that it's snow up in the Sierras. I need to get up there soon while the snow is fresh.

We used to live in the Sierras at Lake Tahoe and 70mph winds was scary with all the pine trees. I can't imagine 150mph winds up there.

We survived the 60-70mph winds here on the coast, but lost power for 27 hours when 3 trees came down, taking a power pole that supplied our power, with them. The daughter said that it was kinda like camping indoors. :D

the weather has been pretty crazy here too.... really strong winds, downed trees, closed roads and no power all day yesterday....

check those kits folks....:o
