• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Sifu VS Spyderco Civilian

The same argument works well for 9mm vs .45 cal.

* I don't know, you tell me. Why would it be worse to get cut by the civ than the sifu? i can't help to think sifu would be a better choice since i can stab with it as well... i dont want a knife to be limited. i do like the civ, but listing pro's and con's, the sifu seems a better choice...

so civ was made for law in difficult situations, i can buy that... still not sure that would compare to me in a self-defense situation.. i dont have a gun, i dont have backup... i dont know how succesfully one can slash against someone with a leatherjacket etc...

Chariot - I can't make a choice for you, I can offer some opinion.

If you stab someone with a 5" knife that you have been carrying, you are going to go to jail. In fact, if you hurt anyone with a knife, you are going to go to jail. Whether our not you stay there is the question. Carrying a large illegal knife implies intention.

Trying to slash through a leather coat with a dull knife won't work.

Stabbing requires skill. Have you developed that skill? Just having a knife alone doesn't create the skill. Stabbing a moving target intent on hurting you is not easy.
