Cold Steel's knives are indisputably sharp. I own two VG's and I always have one with me. They are solid with a lock that is sturdy, better than Spyderco's lockback according to one BF member's post/tests. The new VG comes with a pocket clip and my old one has a kydex sheath. I prefer my old one and it rides comfortably in my front pocket while completely concealed.

I have seen some complaints about Cold Steel's serration pattern but everyone I have shown my knife to has expressed interest in owning it and two or three immediately went out and bought one. I love my VG. It is a great blade at $30-45 here on the forums.

The Sifu looks pretty. I have seen some complaints about it here, gritty action for example. The VG is very smooth. The price of the Sifu is also far greater than the VG. After the initial rush/newness wore off I noticed many Sifus offered for sale. I think that may say something about that particular folder. I want one but not at those prices.

I own both the CS Vaquero Grande and the Rekat Sifu. I prefer the Rekat Sifu because the lock just feels more substantial. Actually, I want to sell my CS Vaquero Grande, it is a first version with the kydex sheath. If anyone wants it you can e-mail me. I can send jpegs of the knife and the sheath. I am not maligning the VG, it is the best inexpensive megafolder around, not to mention the first (probably).
