Just curious....I bought this same conversion kit for my p229 but the kit doesn't work very well. My slide has too much friction and gets stuck. Are they supposed to be like this? I'm wondering if it needs to be broken in or something.

Clean it, lube it well and have fun. Few rounds thru this one, but buddy and I got them at same time and his runs like a top.
Not sure what you may be doing wrong with yours but these kits are pretty much plug n play = fun!

strange. yeah, mine isn't like that at all. And I don't think it's possible to do anything incorrectly since there's only one way a slide will go on the gun. I have lubed it but it's not the type of tolerance issue that lube would take care of...it's a hair bigger in size or paint or coating difference. I get a feeling that if I were to sand off the coating, that would be enough to make a difference but I'm not going that route. Maybe my frame is bent somehow.
