Sig P365 9mm

P365 had typical early adopter challenges new production sig seems to always have which were fixed. This pistol also has other pistol manfactuer FAN Boy (read as non owners) bashing it.

The Indiana State Police just took up the 365 as their backup duty weapon according to anmoland.

Interesting to note, but not exactly relevant. Simply because the police of one state select a particular piece of equipment doesn't necessarily mean it's the best piece of equipment available. I don't remember where I read it, but I read the New York police adopted the Glock simply because individual officers wouldn't quit leaving their guns with the hammer cocked back. That's why they cut the hammer spurs off their duty revolvers rather than snagging risks.

I don't really follow whats popular with mil/leo/fbi either, I just saw it and posted it. If the IA are taking it on then it passed their tests, so there's that.

I carry Glock mostly because thats what I've shot most of my life and it just works for me. However I loved the 43 but just couldn't shoot it well. The 365 feels great in the hand and I like the size vs capacity. If I was sure they were past teething I'd already have one.

Or it had issues and nobody's quite sure of if or when the bugs are worked out. I didnt hear anyone say, "should have bought a _________."
"Fan Boy" is an overused term by people that don't like others not agreeing with them based on facts and experience or personal opinion.
Personally I'd love a 365....as soon as I know for sure its past its issues. Which may have happened already, but until I know I'll keep shooting what I've got.

Sig Talk forum has extremely large threads on this pistol through all the Sig early release challenges. Production seems to be solid for last 9-12 months best I can tell from forum, my use and range buddies who run them.

I do recommend highly the 12 rd magazines the standard and pinky magazine feel weird in the hand. You can also get 3D printed base plates online that mirror fit of the 12 rd ones just no extra capacity. New to knife making/blacksmith but very active range rat (same forum name on Snipershide/Sig Talk)

I will likely put 100-200 reds through mine this weekend

With some blues and greens for good measure?
