Just picked one up last night. haven't shot it yet hopefully today, but I'm already in love with it. ill post some pics and let everybody what its like after I've shot it.

Another gun? You are building quite the collection!

I like to believe that Warren Zevon was on to something with the song Lyrics "Bring Lawyers, Guns, and Money" so like BEEF its not a bad idea to have a collection....:thumbup:

PS...I also like the Sig's....personal Fav is 229 in .357 Sig...

The P238 is a sweet little carry gun. Wish the P938 came out at the same time. Let's us know how she bucks.

Still haven't got to shoot one of those yet :(

Which sku did you get?

I got mine in May. Extended mag makes for a nice grip. Have not installed the laser yet. As posted back then:

The 2 tone 938 is the better half's carry gun. I've heard a few of the all black model had a some issues when it first came out, but the only thing I noticed with the wifey's was in the first 400 rounds through it, it didn't like 115gr. I've got plenty of 147gr. sittin' around, so I lent her a bit, and she bought a couple K of 124gr. speer lawman, and it was fine. Almost like clockwork, at 400 rounds, the action was noticeably smoother, as was the slide. I'm still partial to my Kahr, but she picked out the 938 all by herself, and I'd happily carry one myself.

Carried a p238 for a while. I loved it, the only problem is that my hands were too big for it, and my thumb was constantly riding the slide release in my natural shooting position, causing the slide to lock back after every few shots. Had to let it go, loved it though, just not built for me.

When the first 938s came out (Nightmares and Extremes) there were reviews on the internet about then jamming and hanging up (FTE and FTF). I asked my Sig rep and he said overall, most of those were users limp wristing (same excuse glock gives if one of their "holy" guns jam). But, he did say that the 938s seem not to like Hornady Critical Defense and Duty (I assume the polymer tip hitting the top of the hood instead of the jacket), and Remington UMC ammo, with the occasional one that didn't like Winchester White Box.

I do it with all my guns now before I shoot them for the first time, clean them, get all that factory junk out of it. And this is a detailed cleaning, close to if not reaching full disassembly. Clean, degrease it, then put my own stuff in there. Most companies don't ship with lube in there, they just ship with a protectant. Sig often ships with lithium grease in there too.

Overall I like them and was planning on picking one up, but I got impatient and got a good deal on a Sig 290 and I couldn't be happier with it. I've never had so send a 938 back to Sig and never had to work on one, besides polishing the feedramp on one of our regular's, but he's old and likes to see shiny things and thinks it won't work without it polished.
