But I don't want to dedicate it to only target shooting.

Run a few boxes of target loads with the stock spring. If there are no malfunctions cycling there is no problem. Theoretically.

If you decide to tinker... Run a box or two of defensive rounds with whatever configuration you end up with. It might still not be a problem. The main thing is you test it before you need it.

Here is a way to tune your recoil spring for fast double taps. It stops working elegantly of course as soon as you change your ammo.
Set a target at about five yards, take careful aim and shoot two shots as fast as you can; don't even reacquire the sights, just shoot.* if your second shot is high, a heavier recoil spring will bring the muzzle back on target faster, if your second shot is low, the recoil spring is too heavy and is causing the muzzle to dip as the slide slams home.* As soon as you get your springs tuned just right for you, you'll be shooting double taps in the same hole and feeling like a real badass!

I got about 800 rounds with the stock sping target load 124 gr. not one problem. The only problem about where I'm shooting now is you have to use specific ammo. I'll ask them about using hollow points.
I'm going to a orientation oct. 7 for indoor outdoor facility range. It's closer and the same price per hour.
Many thanks

I love the low bore axis of cz's internals rails. It let's you grip up on the beavertail. The sp-01 is going to be my first purchase of late I the new year I'm probably going to splurge and pick up a Cajun gun works version as they are by and large a fan favorite amongst cz "yuppies" but they also have a drop in kit that reduces the pulls by about a pound still lawsuit legal limits and takes up that little slack in the trigger.

My wife loves my brothers Beretta storm cx4 carbine chambered in 9. It takes 92fs mags btw. Totally fun to shoot. Give it a try they're about $550 out in the market. Have to look for it though.

I like em too, I had thought I was ambidextrous with firearms but I'm really much more accurate left handed but my brain prefers that I load a magazine right handed, so I need to retrain myself in terms of motor memory to be able to have a gun on my left side. I know it sounds strange but I'm left hand dominant and not a true lefty. Of the polymers the xDs work great for me, just not as well as a CZ.

The CZ75B, Browning P35, Radom VIZ35, and the Sig 210 really are the only 9mm pistols that hold my interest, but the latter two are just too expensive.

With shooting, strong side is determined by DOMINANT EYE. I'm cross dominate, left handed but my right eye is dominate so I shoot right handed.

You shoot only shoot left handed if you are left EYE dominate.

I was looking at some sig 210 last night😳😳😳 if I had that kind of money I'll get a Wilson comb all 1911. Lol
Nice pistols. I'm still itching for a sig 226, 228, 229!

I love my CZ. So little recoil, I just fire it accurately, so to with my glock 17. I'm struggling a little bit with the VP9. I think it's the sites, or maybe I had a bad day or something.

You shoot only shoot left handed is you are left EYE dominate.
I wish someone told me that earlier. I had been shooting right handed my whole life even though I'm left eye dominant.

That's why PROPER instruction is so important.

Lol. That was the funny thing. My brother asked me why I was shooting righty if I was a lefty.

I shoot pool lefty, but do a lot of other stuff righty, I throw a ball right handed and hold martial arts weapons right handed. I also play paintball with both hands. Now that my wife has gotten hooked on shooting she's dead set on getting that Beretta carbine.

Taking her skeet shooting in a few weeks.
