Sig Sauer

You can find SIG CPO (certified preowned) in the $500 range. if you don't want used, I'd highlly recommend the CZ 75 PCR. It's very comparable to the SIG 228 (I own both, as well as a 239, 225, 226, 232), and you can get a .22 Kadet conversion for really economical practice. I know you aren't too keen on 9 mm, but pragmatically, it's shot placement that counts, not the round. You can afford to practicw a lot w/9 mm vs .40, 357Sig, or .45. BTDT.

I am a 1911 guy, that being said, Sigs are Excellent sidearms.Better yet, check out Sigs entry into the 1911, The Sig Sauer GSR Revolution. Mobile County Alabama just approved them for all Tactical Units and Investigators.Next will be everyone. I also like the venerable P220, More Depts in "the know" issue them. Jam free auto. Keep it .45 cal, whatever you do. Very comfy round,IMO and I'm not a big guy.
