My wife and I spent our day clearing out a whole bunch of thorny wild rosebushes and unwanted blackberry plants on our acreage. On the way home, she asks me to search on my "knife website" for a machete for her to use clearing out more vines, thorns, etc. This, after she gave me grief for a couple of knife purchases in the last month or so. Of course I said "hell yes, woman!" and an ESEE machete just now got ordered for the little lady. I'll chalk this up as a win for me.;) This now makes an ESEE machete, Izula II, 3-mil and 4-DT for our household. And a couple of Beckers, too.

You are right, something is going on. My wife told me to order my supertuck deluxe holster and asked me to take her out shooting her 38 next weekend. She never wants to shoot.

Nice. That machete looks pretty sweet, too. Bet it would do a number on those damn bougainvilleas in my yard, too. Hm....

Signs of the coming apocalypse are everywhere. You should have seen all the women at the gun and knife show I attended today.

No kidding - along those same lines I came home with a 550 pack of .22's couple of weeks ago, and she asked me if I got enough. Assuming she was being sarcastic, I looked at her and realized she was serious! Told her I would get more next time I went to Gander or Wally-world. (Local gun shop is really small and doesn't carry much to speak of.) The next weekend we put away over 100 of those .22's, and another 75 shotguns shells (12g, 16g and 20g). Anyway, wonder what is going on with the womenfolk. Maybe all the Middle East unrest, who the hell knows.

My money says a womens magazine suggested taking an interest in your man's hobbies. Please let me know what they subscribe to so I can pick up a copy for my lady. :D

There are always doubters. I think Cosmo is the one. :D

Yep, the end must be near.
The other day I was looking at some loaded 1911's, but the price is way steep.
I say to the wife, "Man it's a tough one, for the price of this 1911, I can buy three XD's."
(I'm an XD fan, already own two.)
So she says, "Pssh, so lets get three more XD's then". Like it was a no brainer to her.
Oh well, never look a gift horse in the mouth.....;)

Have I mentioned how much I love my wife:D

Funny...yesterday, my wife asked out of the blue, "how much would a knife grinder cost you?"

Then today-
been wanting a crew cab duramax for a long time. Driving with my wife today, I saw a really sweet one.
Me: "oooh baby."
Wife: "I can't wait till you can get your truck."
Me: :eek::cool:

...I know, not a truck forum...BUT who doesn't love a nice pickup truck...

I'm thinking the female of the species might be pondering all the unrest in the world and thinking perhaps being a little more prepared is a good thing.

2 weeks ago my lady asked to goto the range with me. Now she wants "what that guy was shooting" (10/22). Hey it's a start...I tried telling her a 12 ga with 00 buckshot was not the first gun to shoot, she didn't believe me til she saw it. Thankfully we had a .22LR pistol for her to shoot.

Oh, and she's had her own ESEE lite since they came out. Pretty handy with it.

Get her a 20g. Got my wife a Mossberg sa-20 for Christmas and it has been a big hit. Very light, about 6 lbs, and shoots softly. The newer ones don't have the cycling issues the first generation did. Maybe $400.

after about a year of my lady tolerating my ar build, when it was finally finished, we went to the range. she said "don't try to pressure me into shooting that thing." we have a couple of .22 pistols that she enjoys, so she planned on just shooting them. after me and a buddy put several rounds of .223 downrange, she asked if she could shoot. now I have to build her one. :D

Nice! Enjoy your knifapalooza. Don't question why, just go with it and try to squeak another one in before you lose the momentum.:D
