You have done agreat job. I know for some reason, I didn't get your e-mail in my regular account so I asked you to e-mail my hotmail account and I got it the next day. I know it is a lot of work and I appriciate it. Then you have to worry about matching our user names to our real names. Keep up the good work.:thumbup:

Second- I've sent out reminders, so let's see what happens in the next few days. A couple of people can probably be written off (banned, etc), but I'm sure I'll hear from the rest shortly.

One thing I am sure Eric will do is not to firm up the order total with CS until da money is in hand. ;).
 
I think you're right Guyon, that was my last appeal for more info. I hear ya Gus:thumbup: , we're almost there,we've had a couple of cancellations, three payments are en-route, the two with the question marks I think will be no-shows, and I'm waiting for a limited time for replies from the others. We still come out the same numbers wise cause we've added four in the last few weeks. I'll keep you posted..

I hope no-one starts hammering Eric. This is a huge favor he is doing for all of us.
 
gosh dangit(the ominous sound of hammering in the background starts) i was told by a reliable source that they would be shipping the first week of june-(the ominous sound of hammering quiets ) crap thats right i was talking to my self dangumit
 
Rosconey2, you heard right, I just got the same message, they're really backed up so the knife delivery has been pushed up to June 2008. Don't worry though, they'll change the date on the etch free of charge:thumbup: :D :D .

OK folks, figured I'd better update you before someone believes that last post:eek: . I haven't heard anything from the remaining unpaid people on the list, so I think we've gotten all the payments we're gonna get. I'll get everything in order here and send the order to CS on Monday or Tuesday. I'll let you know when I send it, along with some kind of TARGET date of completion. I'll post this info in a new (and final until the knives arrive) thread entitled "The Order's IN!!" or something to that effect. I really appreciate the kind words folks, thanks!!:)

Not pushing or anything but did we get a ball park figure of when they hope to have the knives produced for us?
 
OK, here's an update on the order, sorry for the long delay Kimbercomp, was waiting on some timeline questions. Ok, let me see if I can explain this as well as Joe: The Wolverine Knife Club, as most of you know, is having a MOP canittler made by CS right now. These should be completed next week, at which time they can start on ours. The reason for this is that they have to build a new jig to change the radius of our bolsters in order to do a proper scroll. This is pretty cool to me since it makes our knife unique even among the other canittlers.
Now the reason I haven't put the new thread up is because the order isn't in yet, technically. They don't like to take deposits until they know they can start, and they wanted to at least have the new bolster jigs ready before they took the deposit. So I'll be heading over there later this week or the beginning of next week to finalize everything and give them the deposit. I'll keep you all updated as things progress. Don't despair folks, this knife is leaning way more towards a custom knife than a production model, so it requires a little more patience, but I'm sure the final product will be worth the wait.

PS- Gus, Joe said to say hello, says he saw you at Blade but couldn't get your attention since he was kind of swamped at his table. I told him you probably wouldn't have seen him anyway over the armload of Bose's you were carrying:D :D
 
Haven't been checking in for a bit, things look like they're going great, really looking forward to these getting out in our hot little hands.
So, we haven't had a proto that I've seen, do we know if the etch will be in a similar vein to the Wolverine blade etch?

No proto yet, although the etch should be almost identical in style to Wolverine's. Once I get some kind of mock-up I'll post it here immediately.

No need to apologize! You have taken on a big project and I appreciate it. I'm actually patiently waiting but just curious as to an estimated figure for delivery once the order was placed.
 
Cool, thanks Eric, I know alot of folks weren't that thrilled with the big blocky etch from the last one, this one looks alot nicer.
