Sign-Up Time for the Moose Passaround

You guys realize when the knife hits Canada, someone will have to pay probably $50 US to get it through customs. Also, the last time I did a passaround to Canada it took 2 months to get through.

DaveH - yes...unfortunately I understand that all too well. Got hit with duties a little while back on about $750 worth of knives. But it only took 3 days via UPS. ;) $25 to ship insured to $1000, $25 in duties. Not that bad, actually.

However, that's why it would only be worth it if there were several recipients in Canada. Now that there's nobody - I'm going to pull the offer. Best to keep it here in the States.

I'm going to slip a $5 bill in with the knife to help Bobwhite and Brendan with the shipping to and from the UK. If anybody else feels the same, then by all means add your "fiver" to it when you get the knife.

Here's the list - I'll leave it open another day or two and then we gotta get this thing going!

I'll send this out next Monday, ok Russ?

Remember - you have to send it in 7 days or less. If you get it on a Saturday, mail it out the next Saturday. Easy as pie.

Important Note:

If anybody gets in a bind, I have an account with the US Postal Service and I'll be happy to email/fax you an electronic mailing label (that you can print) with postage paid so that all you have to do is drop the package in the mail.

Please send this US Priority Mail - should only be about $8 max, including insurance.

Any last questions?

Wow
this thing is coming to the UK??! I wasn't expecting that.

(is it?. . . . brendan's name isn't on the final list thing?)

If it is. . . can i get in on it?
hope i haven't missed it. I only really have the time to check here a couple of times a week now, not evry day :(

i know th postage can be a lot (i pay about $20 for a khuk) so if its too inconvenient, don't worry. I still enjoyed reading the penknife passaround! ;) :p

Yes, there will be box pics. But this time it will be a circle instead of a triangle. ;)

Well, the Moose has come and gone...great knife. Had a party and everyone oood and ahhhd about it. Is that bone? No, it's horn or antler. No, it's like rock! Was fun to see everyone's reaction.

I play at making knives and know how hard it is to "stabalize" a handle. You did a fine job. Nice cut lines, well centered. The sheath looks great as well. The ray is very nice, what is it died with?

The blade is "simple" yet very functionable and fit the handle well. The little nick on the tip of the blade bugged me, but with the finish I did not want to risk grinding it out. The finish complimented the handles colors so looked good. Do not think I would use that finish on just any knife however.

OK, what can I nit pick? Hmmm, the only thing I might of have done is stuck a Mosaic Pin in the glue hole, but it is not that noticable.

Overall a fine knife I would be proud to own! Thanks for the opportunity to fondle it!
