Signatures?

I tried to post a quote in my sig, and i tried to post a pic there also.
Both would show up in the preview, but for some reason i could not get them to show up in my posts. Am i doing it wrong or is it disabled somehow?

FOR Some Reason it fixed itself......

You need to click on the insert signature picture link to the right of the picture. It will then post the [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] tags in the text of your signature.

As for the gif; is it animated? If so animated gifs are not allowed as sigs or avatars since version 3.5.

I was doing that and it still did'nt show up until i posted this topic.
AS for the Gif's, yeah i meant animated...
Why were they disallowed? Too much Bandwidth?

I'm guessing animated gifs, in avatars and sig lines, were disabled by the developers of the software - because they are distracting if every poster has one.

Before version 3.5 it was a system setting, now the site adminstrator has to enable animated gifs for every usergroup, which Spark hasn't done.
 
I don't find them distracting...But that's me. As long as they werent Seizure type Gifs.
Oh well, I'm sure spark has his reasons.
But it sure would be a nice option, even if ya had ta pay for it, like the name change or the custom title thing.

Since they were deactivated during the upgrade, maybe Spark hasn't bothered activating them because no one has asked him to.
 
Honestly I'm not all that enamored of signatures - we know who you are already, we can see your name at the top of every post. When you make 5-10 posts on the same page., all that signature winds up being is extra scrolling that nobody gives a damn about.

Adding blinking seizure graphics, therefore, aren't a huge priority for me.
