So this might be a little odd to post feedback on myself, but i feel like its the right thing to do. Here we go!
The Good: I want to start by saying that i love Bladeforums, the members here, the exchange, and having a place to talk about knives. I dont know anyone in person who is into knives so to come here is such a release for me.
Ive had multiple transactions in the exchange all go smoothly with positive feedbacks and its always nice selling, buying, and trading around knives with everyone.
The Bad: There has been 2 occasions when i have said that i could send a knife out the next day, but it had to wait the following day due to my job. Ive had this happen to me as well and neither side of deal cared. It happens. I'll just have to clarify that issue in my exchange threads when its necessary.
The Ugly: Okay so this is the real reason for this post besides letting everyone know that everyone that i have dealt with are terrific to deal with, and i recommend any of them.
Ive had 3 different occasions where i have gotton a knife and thought that it might be fake. Mostly from dumb things that i have probably heard on youtube or some other sites on the web.
The sellers/traders were more then willing to make it right and even offered for returns or to get them authenticated.
(i didnt have them wait though)
And i wanted to make a public apology to them right now.
Sonnydaze, Water, arrowhd, I'm Sorry! And by the way they were all real.
Its pretty damn embarrassing to admit, and not cool to have gotten these members nervious for no reason. If anybody feels something might not be legit:
1)dont buy it
2)do some research on it and ask the company that makes them about it, and not somebody talking out of their rear. Every knife company i have contacted about anything in general, have always given me an answer within a day or two.
It shouldnt be the owners responsibility to deal with someone elses problems. Ask for plenty of pics and ask questions before making the deal.
I hope this wont ruin any reputation i have here, as i really am an honest guy and do make very smooth deals here. I just think a sorry, thank you, and kudos should have to go to those guys.
And it goes without saying that nothing like that will happen again on my part. Even if i open the benchmade box and a ganzo falls out.
Thank you all for your time and patience. -Luke (sigsog226)
