About 14 years ago I purchased a Silent Knight from Jerry at the Dayton Gun Show because I was to impatient to wait for him to build me one and send it to me. :D It was purely an impulse buy after seeing the SK lying on the table. Everyone was looking at it.

Does anyone know how many of the original Silent Knights were made? I also noticed that most of the collectors photos in this forum don't have a SK in them. Is this knife not desired by collectors?

I suspect the emails are already flowing nicely.

I asked Jerry one time how many were made and he said some guy in California had a bunch, but that is all he said. It doesn't seem like many for being a production offering.

Welcome to the Busse Forum, I'm glad that you stopped by. You have a highly desirable piece of Busse history. Congrats.

If you want to sell it I'm sure you'll have no problem doing so.

:D:D

I'll give you the original price as it has gone down in value over the years. ;) :D

Lucky guy, I tells yah

Someone....Please tell me that a Silent Knight or Silent Knight update or variant will be in the lineup soon!

I do plan to put the Silent Knight up for sale within the next couple of months but I need to do some research first. I am not ready to consider any offers at this time because I have no clue what its current market value is. Does anyone know of any recent sales for comparison? I'm considering putting it up on Ebay or one of the Hunting/Sporting Goods auction sites. Is that a good idea? I'm also thinking about sending it back to Busse for a rehab. Is that a good idea? Thanks for the feedback.

Bad idea on the rehab in my book. But I am a purest, a blade of that vintage that is worn would be worth less to me refurbished. Some others might disagree, but to each his own. The one that sold as of late was the one Randucci bought from Europe. He can tell you what he paid for it. Valuation would be easier to determine if you had some pics for us.

Also keep in mind Jerry just did some custom shop pffering of the blade style, not making the originals any less valuable, but if you you really wanted one, they were available in a configuartion recently.
