Silent nights - a dark fighter*** SOLD***

I decided to design this one for those silent night task . It is flat ground and distal tapered from 5/32" A-2 Tool Steel , the guard is also from A-2 steel . It has been hand sanded to a 600 grit , then gun blued and 4 OT steel wool rubbed and oiled . The Rc is 60-61 , HT in my shop .

O.A.L is 11"

Blade is 6" with a sharpened edge at 5-3/4" , it is 1-1/4" wide . The spine has thumb grooves just in front of the guard .

Handle is Black Linen Micarta with Aluminum pins & lanyard ( the only shinny stuff but your hand will cover those up )

The sheath is 8-9 oz veg tanned , it was designed with paracord & a plastic barrel bolt for silent secure carry ( snaps make noise ) . It can be carried RH or LH .

Very nice. Great shape and size. Since the entire piece is sp dark, the ornate pins really stand out. I love it.

Heck yeah, the Tempest is a classic. Intially I didn't get the silent aspect but it sure makes sense. It is afterall one of the quietest (air)guns I own.

Well my comments aren't needed after so many fine compliments, but here goes: Looking at this knife makes me want to take it out in the dark of night and look for menacing critters so that i could use it to defend myself. No kidding, that's the feeling i got as soon as i saw it.
