Silicone Spray?

Hi fellas, I noticed a can of Silicone Spray,at work, with the little straw adapter attached.
So I sprayed some in the workings,of my Spyderco Para, seems to work slick.
Is silicone a no no? Or is it all good? I usually use the wife's sewing machine oil

To answer your specific question, silicone spray is just fine. Better if it is food grade silicone though.

I have used it,seemed fine to me,though it dries,but still seemed slick...
