• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

has anyone ever handled or heard anything about the hawks or the french trade axe from silverado mining co.com? just wondering because i love the trade axe pattern. let me know if you know where to find a maker of good report if this turns out to be low quality. thanks. http://silveradominingco.com/western_cutlery.htm

I had one of their hawks (the full size, not the mouse hawk) once upon a time. I bought it from Museum Replicas. It was fairly heavy and had a thick edge, but chopped pretty well and threw ok. I think it was forged, but can't remember.

I can vouch for Fort Turner. They've got a good selection of hawk heads, and I think one or two might match up with the hawk heads listed above.

There forged i have one of there norse hawks not bad for the price would rather have spent a little more for a better one my problem is with there handels came warped and broke pretty easy indian wood i guess .

thanks for the info guys. ill look into it some more. i really like the symmetrical cutting edge and the poll is a big plus so im hoping to find something to fit that criteria.
