Just got this in on a trade, it's too small for me so up it goes.
Silveray Knives Ti-Barb #1 - $725 OBRO$700 OBRO SOLD
This is Jason's very first folder sold (as is engraved on the inside of the backspacer) and has a number of very special features. Firstly, the blade is in S90V (1 of 2 he has done in this steel). It has upgraded ceramic bearings and a ceramic detent ball for increased smoothness and longevity. Most impressively for his first folder, it has a floating Zirconium backspacer.
This knife predates Jason's use of waterjet so it is 100% handmade other than the hardware. The fit and finish is excellent; the holes line up perfectly symmetrically, and the contouring is uniform on both scales. The blade grinds are extremely even, as well as the fullers, and are finished with a low grit belt satin on the grinds, and a higher grit hand rub on the flats. The pocket clip is a 3D milled clip that is very low profile and provides great retention. The blade is centered and there is no play in any direction. Lockup is early, with a small amount of stick. The lockface is polished, which is another nice touch. The detent is medium strength, but the knife flips very well due to the smoothness. The flipper is hand checkered which provides grip.
I would say this knife is about 98% condition; I am the second owner and I believe the previous owner just carried it and did not use it very much. There are a few hard to see carry marks on the handle, and some light scratches on the blade flats. The edge appears to be the original edge from Jason.
Comes with COA and mini-Pelican case.
Here is a video of the knife from the maker:
