Oh yeah, like night and day. What’s it feel like now? Way sturdier?
Hey man sorry I just saw your post asking for more pics
I gotta say. These Ti scales are pretty sweet.
Oh no, the Fuzz is here, I was just holding the knife with aftermarket scales for a friend. It’s not mine, honest
Yes. They are great. Any chance of Benchmade offering a Bugout with Ti scales? Maybe the 2019 Gold Class?
Don't suppose you have the Rogue CF scales and can comment on the comparative overall thickness between the CF and Ti (or anyone else)? Or for those with the Ti, or they pretty similar to the grivory in thickness?
I recently picked up the CF scales and as nice as they are, my one complaint would be the thicker feel in the hand.
The Ti from RockScale aren’t any thicker they just aren’t contoured like the factory. Perhaps it’s the same with the CF you have and they feel bigger?
I'm interested in the answer to your question as well. I too had a set of Rogue scales and as nice as they are I didn't like how they made the knife feel bigger in hand due to the lack of contouring. I was really curious if these would be the same way or if they were a little less "blocky" in hand. That's a fair point and one I had considered.
I certainly attributed the heavier feel to the lack of contours (it is heavier with the CF scales, but only a negligible amount).
Just pulled my calipers. My calipers put the CF thickness at 10mm, BKC spec says 10.72mm for the Grivory (maybe that includes the Axis barrel?). So not thicker. Must be the lack of contours. My 551-1701 is the same way.
Wish I had a second Bugout with original grips to compare side by side. I might just have to get two more 535s. Keep one original, one with CF, one with Ti scales...
