Well, it's not in the least bit "tactical", but I just picked up a fixed blade with a 4.25" D2 steel blade and a carved stag bone handle for $38 + shipping. I think it's one of the best values I've stumbled across. On this page, second from the top, left hand side. There may be others there that will suit you even better.

I swear I'm not a shill for Kenny, just a good and happy customer.
