I agree. This is probably as close a one can get. Nice choice.Hinderer makes a non flipper spanto in M390. Sadly, not in the slicer grind...yet. Probably about as close as you're going to get at the moment without a warranty voiding mod. Currently, all non flipper slicers are S35VN, as far as I know. But they sure are nice!

People who complain about Sebenza thumb studs and the Gayle Bradley liner lock being uncomfortable would have nightmares about using the 0562 studs. Quite uncomfortable on the one I had. But they do work (for me atleast)
Edit: Damn iPhone autocorrect
Same on the two I've had. Fairly easy to use the stops to open. I will say I wouldn't have said the same 2-3 years ago before my knife addiction.I only have one, but am also able to open it with the studs. I use my thumbnail.
The official 0562 literature says they are not to be used as thumb studs.
That is pretty interesting. Any idea why? I mean I know they weren’t designed to be used to open, but I wonder why they specifically tell you not to?
I know it's not apples to apples, but I always thought the Manix2 is the 0562 of the Spyderco world.

The "thumb studs are not thumbstuds they are lockstops. There is no room to put your thumb in. You can flip them but it will leave a big dent in your finger.Simple answer - Grind it off.
(Does that model even have thumb studs? I've never given it a second glance)
*edited to add
I just looked it up - it's got thumb studs; so I stand by my original response. Grind off the flipper tab
