My original post detailed how I had waited four weeks for a MO from Aaron. Aaron insisted he had mailed it and urged patience, I thought I had waited long enough and posted that I was having a bad deal.

I said I would eat crow if the MO showed, and today I'm preparing a for a not so tasty feast. The MO arrived, as Aaron said it eventually would.

The problem was with the Canada Post, and not Aaron.

I offer my apologies to Aaron, and I urge anyone who deals with him to believe in him and be patient.

Give the m/o more time. We have had several business dealings with Aaron and he has always come through.

We've had problems with packages and letters going to and from Canada lately. We just had a package take five weeks via airmail to go less than 250 miles. :eek:
 
aaron hasn't let me down in the past. There are often PO problems between the US and Canada, so give it a bit more time.
 
aaron is a good duder. I know it took a while for the canuckleheads to straighten out our one deal.

I would say give it another few as well.

Okay just saw this , thanks to a buddy of mine

Now, i admit on this deal i was not the most communative, i wasnt shooting emails around as i usually do.

first thing,

i first responedd to Geraldo's reply to me on the 4th, asking price etc,

geraldo i dont wnt to post the emails i exchanged with ou on forums, if you want them please email them to me.


i understand you are worried, but then again, im the one right now wwith no money OR knife, you have your knife still, so shouldnt i be the concerned one?

im not going to go in depth with this as im still trying to heal from some surgery, ill get to this later.
 
Envelopes are not often "lost" It should arrive at the recipients door or get returned to sender. Give it another few days. :cool:
 
For money orders under 50 bucks, I just send them out and hope for the best. For anything hovering around the hundred dollar mark or above, I use a tracking number. Doesn't really do much, but it makes me feel better. If this was a large purchase, something to think about in the future.
 
What kind of money order was it anyway ? Western Union has a toll-free (for Americans) number where one can check whether the money order has been cashed in yet. Chances are whatever money order you sent there is a similar mechanism avaliable for both of you to verify that money order hasn't been stolen ("lost in mail"). WU's system is fully automated, all you need is the money order number (the thing i always ask for in advance whenever somebody is sending me a money order so i can check without harassing the sender or implying any wrongdoings on their part).
 
im just using a Toronto Dominion money order from my bank..............


no western union money order thing liek that....
 
I am sure this one will work out on time.

I am also sure Aaron did what he said he did, when he said he did it.
I have had mail from Canada take a month to get to me in the past and have had 2 month waits on things from Brazil.
 
Why don't you guys just use PayPal and just pay the fee which is only $4 on a hundred? It costs $7 for Canadian MO's and these things are just like cash and you wouldn't send cash in the mail would ya? A credit card transaction with PayPal protects both the buyer and the seller.
 
And THAT again.....they violate our current rights banning transactions which are firerms related and the same with automatic knives regardless of your current states laws. Me no like :-) Cancelled account about 1 1/2 ago. Some times convience just isnt worth it IMHO.

all good suggestions here, but geraldo: I think you jumped the gun a little bit ;) maybe you should have your title "aaron simkovich-bad deal" changed until its reasonable...
 
Boy you guys have had some bad luck. I have mailed out over a hundred letters and packages to the US over the last three years and have never had one take more than 10 days. 90% took less than a week and 50% less than 4 days.
 
My dad sent me a letter from Ft Myers Florida on March 28, its been 9+ and still isnt here. That post office he used has lost a large percentage of letters I have tried to send/recieve in the past.
The vast majority of postal workers do a wonderful job and are quite responsible, but it only takes one jerk-off who hates his job to screw up good things for everyone.

This does make a strong argument for trackable shipping, or trackable funds (checks).

theres over 700 views when it said i was a bad guy, now that it shows im really not, i believe atleast some people should be able to see it.
