Well, my mid-tech Simonich crowfoot is on the way. I can't wait to get it as it seems to be a good urban carry piece.

I opted for DLC coating and carbon fiber scales.

here are the specs:

Blade - 3" .125 thick S30-V
Overall - 7 1/4"
Hardness - Heat and Cryo treated by Paul Bos to RC 59-60
Weight - 2.8 oz without sheath. With Sheath 3.8 oz
Sheath - Concealex neck sheath supplied with 24" Para Chain, Drilled for mini Tek-Lock

Here is a pic of the basic version:

Nice catch!!! The Crowfoot instantly went on my short list, the minute I first saw it. I've just gotta' get 2 custom orders out of the way first.

This looks like a trend for me. Off all the knives I've purchased for myself this year, only three have been folders. One tactical, one SAK, and one slipjoint. The rest are all fixed blades, which includes the two customs!!!

Me too. I seem to be focusing on personal sized fixed blades the most right now. I like the idea of a fixed blade edc.

for the slightly more budget minded, also keep in mind the AWESOME Camillus (Simonich designed) Mini Talon in Talonite. my all time favorite fixed blade.

I have a basic one coming this weekend and could not be happier!
Especially since I am getting it before DEXTER!!!!! :D :p :D

Great score Dennis,I really like the looks of it.The carbon fiber should look sharp.

Are you ordering direct or through a dealer?

I have been trying to email Rob and I don't think I am getting through.

SDouglas, I'm having very much the same problem. I'm hoping to catch up with him at a knife show. Fingers crossed.

I ordered mine directly from him.

Got the crowfoot today. I am really excited about it. I am especially excited because I finally got something before Dexter did. :D

The pictures do not do this knife justice. The DLC coating is way cool. It is black, but kind of "see through" Pretty slick feeling as well. I can't wait to see if it is as tough as everyone says it is.

The knife is comfortable. It is also thin and doesn't print very much when worn as a neck knife.

I have to say that I really like this knife and plan on putting it in my daily carry rotation.

I'm really interested in the "comfortable" part. The blade design looks extremely good and efficient, as I'd expect from Simonich. I'm very curious however, how this handle feels with the pinky ring thing. If you could post some comments on the handle comfort and feel, I'd be very appreciative.

Excuse me please, but who is making and selling this nice knife?

Thank you
