I finished this one this weekend. Thought I would share.
01 steel
Hunter orange G10
Scotchbrite finish
I really like it feels good in the hand I just can't wait to give it a work out this fall on some whitetails.

Simple and elegant.... perfect!

I agree with bob that a 3/42" to 1/8" deep half round choil at the plunge would be nice. It can be added easily with a 3/16" or 1/4" diamond cylinder burr .

Thanks for the comments. On a sharpening notch do you basically center it on the plunge or do you put it in front of the plunge? Also is it typically done pre or post HT?

I do my notches after I've finished grinding my bevels and I grind my knives pre-hardened. I have found that a 3/16" diamond chainsaw sharpening burr is available at any hardware store and makes the perfect size notch. I tend to like about 1/3 of the notch in the edge but personal preference plays a part. The idea is to give enough room for consistent sharpening without creating a re-curve to the blade.

Then again, I see a lot of commercial (as in, factory made) knives in my sharpening biz where that curve is a "design feature."
It's great for me, since that makes it pretty hard to get a good edge on a regular stone :)

Love me some notches- my hunters all have them.
