Here's a simple lanyard I rigged with paracord that allows you to use the lanyard like depicted in the recent thread on lanyard use, and also allows you to hang the knife around your neck if desired (this ain't a tac rig, no quick breakaway on the loop when its around your neck). Just a double fishermans knot.
Lanyard shortened up:
On hand:
Lengthened:
Around neck:
Again, if someone gets a hold of you or this gets snagged on something, you are going to break your neck.
Of course, you would use a sheath!
Haven't tried it in the field, but feels solid, no slip on the knots when on the hand.
