I have Auber P.I.D. controllers on 4 machines in my shop and normally my Kid sets the temp settings for me but he is out of town a bit so I would like to learn to do the settings myself. I have a problem -- a lot of the words used in the factory manual were not even words when I went to school
-- transistors were just invented when I started high school -- Has any one written a simple set of instructions for say just a simple heat treat oven the needs to be set at different temps almost every time it is used ???

I have downloaded the manuals and find the wiring diagrams very straight forward and easy to understand. It is the how to run the P.I.D. part that I find leaves out any simple wording instructions that a setup like my heat treat oven could use. In my case I just need to know how to set the controller for a different temp every time I use it and I just unplug the oven when the amount of time is right and let it cool down on it's own.
I have wired a good number of these controllers into my machines and for friends and have never had a problem. I feel for the cost and ease of setup you would look a long way to find a better setup.

Sorry, I misunderstood your original question. I have 2 of these units myself, but due to time constraints, I bought a kiln, so I haven't used one yet.
