Simple Question: BK11 or BK14?

11.

It's the original, Ethan gets all the royalties and doesn't have to share them, the handle is comfortable, it has a bottle opener...

11. I love the way it feels in the hand. I bought it and tbe 14 at the same time and kept the 11 for myself and gave the 14 to my girlfriend because I preferred the 11 more.

Simple question.
Simle answer: BK11
If it's good enough for Ethan Becker to carry, well by God it's good enough for me! Lol
Great knife!!

The 14 is an amazing knife, the ergos with the zytel scales is very comfortable for a small knife. The 11 is too, from what I've heard, but I own a 14 and have no regrets about it.

I can only speak for the BK14, but seeing how the handle is just enough to fit my hands, anything shorter, as with the 11, would be too short, why sacrifice handle size? For a bottle opener? That's why I carry a multi-tool or a dedicated bottle opener, such as the Leatherman Brewzer, on my Keychain
I recommend the 14 because of the better handle, that's pretty much the only difference there is. Overall, it's a great knife with great steel, it's a little tank in my pocket

Here's my EsKabar. Sorry, this thread was really lacking some 14 pics, lol.

24 - semi-stainless, abrasion-resistant 14.
I have XL hands, and had to grind the guard off the 11 to make the handle big enough.

It comes down to personal preference and the size of your hands. If you have big hands and don't like to 3 finger a knife, you will probably prefer the BK14. If you don't have big hands or don't mind 3 fingering a knife and like the idea of the bottle opener you will probably prefer the BK11.

I just cant get my pinky on the 11. And the bottle opener digs into my hand making it uncomfortable.

The 14 is just long enough for all my fingers to fit. And the handle is more comfortable in my hand, I don't have the bottle opener poking me.

11 here.

I'm a little biased though as I only own an 11. I have handled 14s though and they ARE nice.

I just wish there was a corrosion resistant version of the 11, like in S30v or D2.

Grab a hold of the 11. It may be shorter but it's shaped in a way that it doesn't feel shorter. I prefered the 11's handle to the izulas.

I own the 14 and not the 11, but I can say that the 14 does fill the hand nicely. At first I was not crazy about it but after wearing it as a necker for a few days, and used it more and more, I became very attached to it. I now feel naked without it......seriously. it takes a wicked edge and holds it good as well. Its big enough to put it to some hard use and small enough to wear without even noticing.

Why not both?

Ten4leader what other Beckers you got now? Was the first you got the 24? If you like the 24 and don't have any bigger Becker's yet would skip these and go bigger. Got the Bk2 yesterday and am blown away. Well used but in good shape and for $35 with sheath shipped very very happy. Ergonomics are perfect, well balanced, love how thick it is never seen one so thick( thats what she said),it's just a tank in a small package(also what she said). Wish i would have gotten a bigger Becker sooner. I push myself away from what everybody else likes cause don't like to follow the crowd, did the same with these. I regret doing that. There is a reason why theres so many Beckerheads. Their the best. Otherwise would get the 11 just for something smaller than the 24 if you'd want. Don't think i could go smaller than 24 or 14 and be able to use the knife well. I'm selling some other knives to fund a 9 or 5 soon. Good luck with your choice. But you"ll probably end up getting both.:)

The BK14. It's a combination of the two best neck knife designs on the planet. It is the ultimate neck knife. Or, it is once you replace the sheath.

That 11 looks like a great multi-tool, guess I'll have to get one later down the road. Either way, it's a Becker. 'Nuff said.
