Since there is no Busse folder.....

If you want something hi quality, lightweight and USA made, I would check out the Spyderco lwt Manix S110V or the ZT 0770CF. Lots of other choices from those manufacturers.

Benchmade also make nice knives, but they are over-priced relative to the competition and many come in mediocre steal (154CM).

Of course, if money is no object, there are all sorts of custom and mid-tech options. I'm looking forward to getting a Hoback Midtech Kwaiken in due course (more than 4oz of weight, though).

+1 on the ZT 0770CF! You'll love this... I got one and when I showed it to my wife, she stole it right outta my hands! I never even got to open it! :grumpy:
Needless to say I had to order another one! It's a really nice, light slicer with an ELMAX blade. Been carrying it for a week and its sweet!

I carry a large Riddled Sebenza most of the time. I did just get some Wilkins grips for my large BM Grip so it has beem in my pocket the last couple days.

Have had a Swamp Rat Rat Trap in my pocket everyday for a decade I think. Havent had a need for anything else. That is until the Busse folder comes out.

I guess there is too much of a collector in me from my years of knife collecting....I cannot bring myself to carry a RatTrap as it cannot easily be replaced. I have been carrying a Spyderco of one model or the other since about 1991. Models you should look at are: Paramilitary 2, New Manix Ltwt, Regular Manix (it really does not seem that heavy to me), and New Domino. I carry a Manix XL in my front pocket most of the time there is not a pistol in there. I don't feel like it weighs down my shorts at all. I will have a Chris Reeve someday but probably will only be able to force myself to carry it on special occasions.

The rat trap is an excellent choice if you can find one. I do agree with messer454 in that the spyderco offerings are a good option. I don't know if anyone has tried one out but ESEE knives make two folders (larger and smaller) that could fit the bill. A buddy of mine has a DPX folder and he likes it but I have not had a chance to use it.

Absolutely. Either the Knifeart.com exclusive Carbon Fiber Large or Small Sebenza depending on the size you prefer. It's available in the standard blade shape as well as the Insingo. Accept no substitute.
I agree! I love mine!

The plain Large Regular BG-42 Sebenza is my favorite folder ever(by far), but it is a bit over 4oz, and hard to find. I sent a 17 year old Regular that had been used hard in a few years ago, and the thing came back looking brand new. I never even had a screw come loose with that folder, and the thing is as tight as day one. No one makes an RIL(framelock) as well as the man that invented it.

If you're needing it to be under 4oz get the Knifeart Carbon Fiber Sebenza. You won't regret it.

Another great one at 4oz is the Carbon Fiber Spyderco Military. You won't find another folder with a full flat ground 4" blade at only 4oz. It is a slicing demon with all of its distal taper, that does leave it with a thin tip, but it is a real cutter, and I never pry with the tip anyway.

The wait for a Busse Folder is Killing me... I found a dealer with an unsold pre-order for a Medford Knife & Tool Praetorian T at MSRP, and I just couldn't walk away...
Yeah I know, but I got a thang for Tank folders... ;)

Come on Garth!! Talk Jerry into it!!!!!! I NEED a Busse folder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell, Rolf and I will probably buy a dozen each if you make them!!!! :D
