Of course they are not for cooking...

And THAT'S how they sound and how they are played. It's easy and a lot of fun.

Hand-beaten Bowls like the ones Auntie has, are the best ones. Their sound starts around 09:00 in the vid.
Good ones hold their tone for a minute or two after you actually have stopped playing it.
