Singing the Praises of Commercial German Knife Steels

I was a corporate manager with McDonalds. The jingle is:
"Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun."

The 1968 Big Mac jingle is considered by many as the most successful advertising campaign in history. Nearly 45 years later most all Americans over 50 can remember the words. Most of those folks have not eaten a Big Mac in 30-40 years, if ever.

The 1960 Marlboro jingle was a close second. Even non-smokers remember it.
"You Get a Lot to Like in a Marlboro - Filter, Flavor, Pack or Box."

Fun trivia fact - The iconic Marlboro Man did not die of lung cancer caused by years of smoking Marlboro cigarettes. That is an Urban Legend. The fun fact is he was a nonsmoker - never smoked a cigarette in his life! He actually quit the high paying role after 14 years because he felt he set a bad example for young folks.
