I recently received a Rodgers Whittler that I had waited a couple years for from Reese Bose. I've carried it for a few weeks now and I've got to say that it is a great classic knife. The workmanship is impeccable and the green jigged bone on the handles is fantastic. And after using the knife a while I just had to order another knife from Reese. I highly recommend his knives and you can order a plain jane version of one of his knives and it won't cost too much more than some nice production ones. I was so impressed that I just had to talk about it.

Bose knives are the best slips around. But talking about them is one thing...showing us a few pics is another. C'mon...you can't tease us like that without posting some pics.

Congrats on a great knife by a great maker. Enjoy.

Well... if you ever take any send them to me. I would love to check it out. My e-mail is in my profile. I could probably find someone to post them for you too.

I recieved my first R. Bose a while back and it is a real beauty. JT and I have very similar tastes.

I consider multiblades the toughest knife to make and Reese's is as good (or better) as any. I can not even imagine how it could get better, he might have the best mentor in multiblades that there is, but the young man's work is incredible.

Congratulations on what I know is a great knife.

I really like the work I've seen in Blade and Knife World. Over the last month or so, I've started to shy away from tacticals, liner locks and lockbacks, and have started using my slipjoints and stockmans more and more. The man makes some really beautiful pieces.

Win...yes we do. In fact I have a single blade from T.Bose in the same pattern as your Reese pictured (wharncliff and all). Great little carry knife and cuts like no other. I'll send you a pic.

Like you silent hunter I had a few tacticals and other types but I've really gone back to the classics. There's just something about being able to carry a versatile knife in your pocktet.

I am pretty sure neither Reese nor Tony have a site.

To get my pic fix of Bose knives, I have to wait for JT to post one :D or visit dealer sites who maintain pages of sold knives. When a Bose becomes available on a dealer site, they are gone in a flash. ;)

I should have been here sooner. JT, why didn't you tell me? I once had a RBose Rogers whittler in remington bone and still kick myself for letting it go. It was a terrific knife. 5 rings, I'd be happy to take some pictures for you. Just send me the knife. hehe. What did you order for your next one?

I made the switch from tactical to slipjoints a couple years ago or so. Rarely carry anything but a Bose knife now. Currently I'm carrying an Ivory wharncliffe trapper that was made by Reese and given to his dad.

Here are pics of that knife and my favorite RBose knife in my collection:

Hmm. Guess I do have a Rogers whittler. Just has a couple extra blades on it.

eddie,

The other knife I ordered is a wharncliff trapper with orange timascus(?) scales in a shadow pattern(no bolsters). I think that wharncliff trapper may be the perfect knife pattern. Two blades that can cover almost any use. And I must say that ivory one you've got is a BEAUTY.

5, its fibermascus and its very nice stuff. The shadow pattern is one of my favorite knives from them. You'll love it. D-2 steel, I'm guessing. Reese likes D-2 a lot. It will be the sharpest knife you've ever held.

The thing about them even with some of the great photography in this thread they look even better in person.

Here is JT sent me to keep me from jonesing ;). I have a couple more that I will get to (have to resize)
